G4 reairing “Arrested Development.”

The best shows on TV are promptly cancelled. That’s all but a rule, with The Simpsons and Seinfeld being the two bits of evidence to the contrary. The best example of this is Fox’s magnificent “Arrested Development,” which won a metric pantload of awards and was promptly yanked by Fox. Now G4 — which many of you DirecTV and Dish Network subscribers get — is reairing it. I just finished watching the last two seasons over the past few weeks, and they started over again last night with the pilot. If you get G4, do yourself a favor and start watching. It’s too good for this world.

  1. I discovered that G4 was airing this by mistake. I have my DVR programmed to record episodes of “Family Ties” if they ever pop up on a channel and it recorded the episode of “Arrested Development” titled “Family Ties” where Justine “Mallory Keaton” Bateman guest stars.

That is an amazing show. Beware of Mr. F……

  2. Beware of Mr. F……

I so wanted to blog about that six-episode series [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6], but there’s just no way to describe that particular plot element without sounding like a heartless bastard. That was one of most ballsy things I’ve ever seen in a TV show. I love it.
