It’s unfortunate.
I’m gonna speculate that ‘the job’ gave him an ultimatum along the lines of “his blog or his paycheck.” And were that the case then I don’t think he would be the first blogger to whom this has happened. (Although most of the other bloggers I can think of were just shown the door straight away).
I wonder if he’ll keep the blog up, or whether he’ll move to personal blogging only and rebrand the site. I hope the latter, if his work situation allows.
(If he leaves the site up, he certainly needs to start removing spam comments.)
