Capitol pictures.

I had my second Sorensen Institute session this past weekend. While last month’s session was held here in Charlottesville, this session was in Richmond, the state capital. During lunch on Saturday, up on the 10th floor of the General Assembly building, I snapped these two pictures of Richmond on my cameraphone.

  1. This perspective looks like it’s from the 10th floor of the General Assembly building (especially since it includes the Capitol–the side under the tarps is the Senate).

I trust your visit to scenic Richmond was enjoyable…despite the road construction.

  2. D’oh. Photo of the Capitol, not photo fromthe Capitol. That’s what I get for posting three blog entries at once. :) Corrected accordingly.

We met in one of the GA’s committee rooms, and we got to sit in the representatives’ seats, which was kind of cool. Naturally, I took the chair’s seat, so I could wield the gavel. :)
