Planned Parenthood lobbying day.

I got this announcement from Planned Parenthood of the Blue Ridge, and told ’em I’d run it here:

The Virginia General Assembly is in session again and the anti-choice bills are piling up, including measures limiting access to Emergency Contraception and basic birth control.

ACTION: We need you and every Pro-Choice supporter you know to attend Pro-Choice Lobby Day in Richmond on Thursday, February 3rd. We are working hard to make this the biggest Pro-Choice Lobby Day the Capitol has ever seen!

Buses are being coordinated by Planned Parenthood of the Blue Ridge. Students can ride for $5.00. Tickets are $7.50 from Charlottesville, $10 from Roanoke and Harrisonburg, $16 from Blacksburg and free from Lynchburg.

BE COUNTED! Let us know you will be there. If you plan to attend lobby day, please email Becky Reid, Grassroots Organizer, at Becky.Reid@ppfa.org.

PLEASE CIRCULATE THIS INFORMATION TO YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, CLASSMATES, & COLLEAGUES. LET’S MAKE HISTORY IN VIRGINIA ON FEBRUARY, 3RD!

Visit http://www.ppav.org/docs/2005-issues.htm for information on proactive and anti-choice bills being proposed in the General Assembly session.

Freedom to use contraception is, of course, a particular interest of mine. I encourage all those who support such things and can spare a day from school or work to head on over to Richmond on February 3rd.
