Frist the humanitarian.

Bill Frist — senator, Republican leader, humanitarian — tours the tsunami damage.

Just before his helicopter lifted off, Frist and aides took snapshots of each other near a pile of tsunami debris.

“Get some devastation in the back,” Frist told a photographer.

  1. Kos on four American contractors who were killed in Fallujah (their burned bodies hung from a bridge), while they were attempting to provide security for a delivery of food to the residents of Fallujah.:

“That said, I feel nothing over the death of merceneries [sic]. They aren’t in Iraq because of orders, or because they are there trying to help the people make Iraq a better place. They are there to wage war for profit. Screw them.”

    “Screw them.” Nice.

The chutzpah of Kos to accuse Frist of “deriving pleasure from human misery” (in the link you provided) is astounding.

  2. Yeah, but a) Markos isn’t an elected federal representative b) has no authority over anyone and c) apologized. (I won’t hold my breath for an apology from Frist for any of the terrible things that he’s said and done.) If Markos calls Hitler “an evil bastard,” that doesn’t change the fundamental truth of the matter, which is that Hitler was, in fact, an evil bastard.

  3. That quote is thin gruel upon which to base one’s criticism. I’m still not sure I get the implication.
