A little humor.

I don’t think that I’ve ever posted a joke before, but, well, this one’s pretty good.

Q: How many Bush Administration officials does it take to change a light bulb?

A: None. There is nothing wrong with the light bulb; its condition is improving every day. Any reports of its lack of incandescence are delusional spin from the liberal media. Illuminating rooms is hard work! That light bulb has served honorably, and anything you say undermines the lighting effort. Why do you hate freedom? And anyway, 9/11 changed everything.

  1. That one is good – did you get it from the email that is going around that includes an interesting quote at the end of it?

Far funnier to me – I laughed for a good, long time when I saw it – was this quote from Doc Bogus in a diary he posted at Daily Kos called “Rumsfeld subject to arrest:”

“Donald Rumsfeld had to call off a visit to Germany next month for the Munich Security Conference, because of the very real possiblity that he would be arrested and put on trial for war crimes.”

  2. A friend e-mailed me only the joke.

Most people that I know have learned not to forward me things. I have no patience for ’em. But I have one friend who lives halfway across the country that I see rarely — I’d hate for him to stop e-mailing me about anything, forward or no. I got it from him.

  3. I got it from my cousin in Tehran. Lol, I guess it gets around. At the bottom of the email I got is this quote:

“The National Government will regard it as its first and foremost duty to revive in the nation the spirit of unity and cooperation. It will preserve and defend those basic principles on which our nation has been built. It regards Christianity as the foundation of our national morality, and the family as the basis of national life.”

You’ve probably already seen it, so you know who is quoted here, but most of the folks I have shown it to guess that it was George W Bush who spoke these words, when indeed they are quoted from Adolph Hitler, MY NEW WORLD ORDER, Proclamation to the German Nation at
    Berlin, February 1, 1933.
