Loved and lost.

t610.jpgSo I got this crazy cool phone last month, the Sony Ericsson T610, from T-Mobile. This phone is unbelievable. Between T-Mobile’s GSM service, the T610, the Jabra Bluetooth BT200 headset and my Macs, it’s like living in the future, I swear to you.

Unfortunately, T-Mobile’s service is terrible in my apartment and, in fact, on the whole of Virginia Tech’s campus. It’s great throughout Blacksburg, and all around Charlottesville. But not in my apartment. So, with great regret, I packed the phone up a couple of weeks ago and mailed it back to Amazon.com, and called T-Mobile and cancelled my stillborn service.

I am like like David, in Flight of the Navigator: I have seen the future. Matt Haughey blogs about his experience with this same setup, which describes quite perfectly why I’m so disappointed to return to my old Motorola v60 on Ntelos’ CDMA network.
