Class starts again.

My second semester started on Monday. It’s not at all noteworthy, save for the horrible, horrible experience of trying to sign up for classes. The plan was to take 21 credits this semester, but I can’t line up more than 13 (!) credits. There simply aren’t classes available. I’ve been checking — no joke — Poultry Sciences courses and coming up empty. Because of a crappy computer scheduling error, I can’t sign up for any courses that are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, because the system thinks that I have a class on Friday morning. There’s no human to talk to about this problem, so the one (just one) class that I’ve found (intro US History; I wouldn’t be happy about it, but it would be three credits, at least), I can’t sign up for.

But, hey, I’m sure that this one-credit “Professional Perspectives” course that I’ve signed up for will be real enlightening. I’ll learn about “the heritage and professional characteristics of the programs in the College of Human Resources and Education,” and received assistance “with academic goals, strategies, and academic plans of study.” That’s $174.50 worth of class, hypothetically.

Best years of my life, my ass.
