Old-school e-mail.

I just found my old Fidonet address, circa 1993: 1:3603/998. I remember that Fidonet set up an Internet e-mail gateway, so I also had some crazy e-mail address, like 998.3603@gateway.fidonet.org. When I’d get Fidonet mail, it would often take days to get to me, depending on which zone that the sending user was in. This instantaneous e-mail thing is definitely preferable.

I know it sounds nostalgic and lame, but I miss the old BBSing days.
