The best political system money can buy.

I got a letter today from my good buddy Senator Paul Wellstone today. Senator Wellstone (or “Paul,” as I call him) tells me that he wants to overhaul our political system, because of the problem of “money in politics.” More important, “money corrupts our political process — and our politicians.” Why, did you know that three billion dollars were raised for the recent election? In fact, Paul tells me, “that’s as much as if you were on “the ‘Millionare’ show seven days a week for the next eight years and won the jackpot every time.”

So what does Paul want me to do about money in politics?

“Will you sit down right now and write…the most generous check you can afford? I urge you to do so.”
