This evening I saw John Zorn’s band, Masada, who played at UVa‘s Cabell Hall. Very impressive. They reminded me of The Flecktones. Not in what they played, but in how in tune they were with the audience, and how tight they were. I think maybe I left early — my father and I couldn’t tell if it was over, or if it was just the intermission. In any case, I’m about done with a concert halfway through. I’m just all concerted out after an hour or so. If you ever get a chance to catch these guys, I recommend it highly.
