This is about the cutest thing I've ever seen. Now I want a baby hummingbird of my own.
Chris Piper (formerly of the State Board of Elections) and I were asked to both write articles about the General Assembly's ethics regulations some months ago, and those articles are published in the current issue of the Richmond Journal of Law and the Public Interest.
Rep. Eric Cantor totally invented this claim. It's absolutely ludicrous. But it's precisely the sort of talking point that some Republicans have been circulating about Democrats over the past couple of years. You know, the sorts of things that your father-in-law gets forwarded to him by e-mail. It'd be nice to believe that such craziness is spread only by the folks on the fringe, but to hear it coming out of the House Minority Whip's mouth is a different thing entirely
