I put together tag clouds for the RPV and the DPVA’s respective newsletters, using every e-mail they’ve sent since their respective national conventions.
The RPV:
ad america american barack biden campaign chairman change click debate democrats election fannie fight friends governor help joe john keep making mark mccain media nation obama palin party past people pm president presidential recent republican sarah senator state support tax ticket victory virginia vote warner washington week win work year
And the DPVA:
barack best biden bill campaign candidate daily debate democrats dpva election frederick gilmore goode gov highlights jim john kaine leader mark mccain news obama palin party pm poll post press race registration republican richmond roanoke senate state tim times times-dispatch today va virginia virginian-pilot vote voters warner washington week year
It’s interesting that the RPV talks about Barack Obama even more than the DPVA. The RPV talks about Joe Biden far more than the DPVA talks about Sarah Palin. And RPV chairman Del. Jeff Frederick is a frequent topic in the DPVA newsletters, while DPVA chairman Dickie Cranwell doesn’t come up in the RPV’s e-mails.
And that’s how the Democratic Party and the progressive movement won.
And the lack of Warner or Gilmore in RPV messages is telling as well…
