Saving me the trouble of writing a punch line.

The RPV, devolving into self-parody, has made George Allen a featured speaker at their minority outreach rally in Fairfax this Saturday.

During that Republican convention, I saw one black person.

The punch line: he’s a friend, a Sorensen classmate.

…in all fairness, everyone else in the state Republican party is even worse at minority outreach.

Let’s not forget Michael Steele, who was a featured speaker at the Republican convention. I think that was the most prominent African-American they could find – a former Lt. Governor of Maryland (and former brother-in-law of Mike Tyson, by the way).

I guessed I missed him—though I didn’t watch every minute, of course, it was also a while before I realized that you’ve got to watch PBS or C-SPAN, or else they’ll cut away and you’ll miss a speaker. (That’s how I ended up missing Tim Kaine!)

Some good comedy there! Thanks, Waldo, for posting. Following some of the links led me to a funny video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmxpX6I0qQE
