This is a useful lesson for decent guys like Emmett Hanger - your party is populated with the same stupid, intolerant, unhinged people you intended to attract in your misguided effort to achieve a majority. The least stupid have now risen to positions of GOP leadership.
The Republican Party has been diseased since Nixon gave our old racist “states rights” Dems a home in his winning strategy. And whatever you think Ron Reagan represented, his national aspirations were launched at Philadelphia, Mississippi - everyone who can hear a dog whistle knew exactly what that meant.
This insurrection was a long time coming and as certain as the prophecy - ‘as you sow, so shall you reap’. Good luck trying to find an honest broker in the RPV, especially with Jim Gilmore back in front.
