As the Bush White House continues to beat the drums of fear they look out over the country and see people they do not trust. Clearly, there are terrorists and other criminals that belong in jail. But the Republican Party has sought power by selling fear. They have swindled the people out of liberties. Ben Franklin, a beloved founding father who would never survive in today's environment said "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety". I believe history will not be kind to Bush, his administration or to the rest of us that allowed it to happen. … and one in every 100 people are in jail today.
