  1. Yep. I can’t figure out any decent way to fit onto the screen both bill summaries and user notes, and it’s the notes that are particularly important on these public Photosynthesis portfolios. The bill titles generally do a pretty good job of explaining the bill, and the summary is only a click away. I took my cue from Amazon.com, who likewise skips product descriptions on their users’ review pages, listing only the product names.

  2. Okay, feeling stupid here, but I went to the site, I have a profile already, when I added a bill I didn’t see anything and I can’t find where this public profile is? How do I find that? Technot, Alison

  3. I’m having trouble (as expected). When I click on Photosynthesis there is nothing on the page. I add bills and nothing shows up. The bills that I’ve dragged to SharpReader show up there but the ones that I add on the Photosynthesis page don’t show up anywhere. Is there a HELP place so I don’t clutter the comments section with my ignorance?

  4. Waldo – how does the tag editing work? Public/private addition, but private deletion only? I ask because I’m wondering how/why a perfectly descriptive tag was deleted earlier today. Thanks.

Alison, this is totally not your fault. It was a bug in my code. You have to create a formalized account — actually register with a password — to use Photosynthesis. But any who had recently posted a comment was mistakenly being seen as “registered,” and passed along to Photosynthesis, which proceeded to choke. Try again and I bet it’ll work better. I’m sorry about that!

That’s correct, yeah — there are a handful of people who have a trusted user status, who are allowed to erase tags. I prune tags regularly, largely from people who don’t quite understand the idea behind tags. (Alison, I erased a few of yours today — they weren’t terms that people are to search on, and also did a little editorializing. :) If it was a good tag, then tag the bill again! It may have been an error in judgement but, more likely, it was an errant click.
