  1. Wow. Um, I like your not-so-hard-core fitness blogging, myself. I’m loving the ‘whupped’ updates — inspiring! I’m due to join the gym in mid-February, when I’m counting on the idea that lesser fitness aspirants than yourself will have given up and cleared some space. Can’t wait! But I’m prepared to be completely whupped myself, as out of shape as I am.

  2. Thanks! The funny thing is I’m actually tracking five other measures, which I may eventually chart. For now, it’s just weight though.

    I have really detailed information about my diet and exercise in CalorieKing. Since it uses a SQLite database underneath, I can generate some pretty cool stuff. For example, since January 6, 2008, I’ve averaged 1674 net calories/day.

    Are you going to ACAC?

    That was suggested to me, too, and I think it’s probably a good approach. I went last night and it was pretty nuts. There was a lot of waiting around to use the weight equipment.

    I am. In fact, I was totally certain that I saw you there last night, until I walked up to the not-really-you to say hi and saw up close that it was most certainly not you. So I had to play it off like I was just feeling really enthused about nothing in particular.

  4. I’ve thought about joining ACAC because it’d be really convenient for me when I work downtown. Right now, I have a UVA Gym membership through Kate. I pay less for one semester than ACAC charges for one month, but I have to deal with an insane number of people between 5 and 10 PM.

    I’m thinking of biting the bullet, but I’ve been pretty hesitant. Maybe I should go take a tour.
