“What is September 11th?”

Marijean’s 11-year-old daughter asked her today what September 11th is and, when Marijean told her, her daughter simply didn’t believe it. I suspect that a great many children learned about it in a meaningful sense today for the first time, and will every year for some years to come.

  1. Yikes. What a difference a year makes, I guess. My just-turned-12-year-old remembers a great deal about that day.
