Lest there be any doubt that the Republican Party is slip-sliding its way to minority status in Virginia, Republican Sen. Jeannemarie Devolites Davis is telling constituents that she’s not actually a Republican. I’d say that I admire her commitment to principle over party, but neither seem to be found here.
Davis has just guaranteed that she’ll lose. Democrats will (and should, of course) support Chap!, and Republicans have utterly no reason to vote for her.
What a maroon.
However, the loss of one seat held by a pseudo-Republican does not a “minority status” make. Particularly since I think Chuck Colgan is going down.
