Waldo, I think Connie was at an Emily's list training Several of us attended a couple years ago.

Also: Are you interested in speaking to a Forest YD group about blogging sometime in November?
Let me know.

If "none of the above" were a choice on all our ballots we'd have a lot more efficient Congress and House of Delegates. It'd give the folks in the 42nd someone to vote for (Albo is certainly not worth a vote).

Watkins Abbitt is one of those politicians who only has his seat by virtue of never having faced a serious, well-organized opponent who approaches the race in a professional manner. I have a hard time seeing him survive this election.

The man is a bump on a log. He's done absolutely nothing for his district. He has no record, no strategy, little money, zero charisma and no real campaign organization. Plus no party to rally for him or inject funds and campaign know-how. Abbitt is as weak an incumbent as they come.

If every challenger was as polished and professional as Connie Brennan, I suspect that fully a third of this years Virginia incumbents would find themselves out of a job in November. That's across party lines. Most candidates for public office are just so awful that if we had a 'none of the above' option on the ballot, I strongly suspect that most public offices would wind up vacant more often than not.

Good for you! I don't know if you've gotten to know Connie, Martha, but I suspect you'll find that many of Shannon's admirable qualities are shared by Connie.

The Lynchburg Democratic Committee donated money to Connie recently. We don't have an HOD race this fall since Shannon v
Valentine is running unopposed so I encourage other committees to donate when/if you are able!
