The New York Times breaks down daily gun deaths in the U.S. by sex, race, age, and the cause of the fatality. They’re basically all homicides, suicides, or accidents, with suicides making up a truly staggering number. (Via MeFi)
Lest anyone get the idea that shooting oneself is a fool proof method of dying, I have been a psychotherapist for 3 people who survived shots to the head, two self-inflicted, one by a third party.
