So how do you actually get these things onto your phone? I’ve never been able to figured that out. I know, I know, I need to turn in my geek card.

It depends on your phone. I can just use Mac OS X’s Bluetooth software to copy the MP3 onto my phone and then I can select it from a list on my phone. Though admittedly my ring tone is just the sound of a phone ringing — a real phone, with a pair of bells and a hammer swinging between them — so it’s not like I’m going to be uploading any MP3s to it anytime soon. :)
