Assembly Access, using some sort of black magic, has video from the Virginia Senate floor of Sen. Russ Potts announcing his retirement. It will be interesting to see whether the victor (all but inevitably a Republican) moves the senate farther to the right and, if so, by how much. An extremist would actually be a plus for Democrats, in that it would only accelerate the timeline under which we’ll regain the majority.
