C-Ville Weekly describes the current VQR as “near-flawless.” And it is. I really think it’s the best yet. And, having nothing whatsoever to do with the contents of each issue, I can be relatively impartial in saying that.

Waldo, I gotta thank you for publicizing the VQR. I’d never checked it out before the Winter 2007 issue. It was absolutely one of the best collections of writing I’ve come across in a while. Honestly.
I’ve now gone back through the archives and pulled out similarly outstanding stuff. I’ve learned things about things I thought I knew a lot about but didn’t.
Everyone who works there should be proud. Nice work.
Thank you for saying that — that’s precisely my goal in promoting VQR. Writing about it here isn’t part of my job, I just happen to think that a lot of folks reading my blog will enjoy much of what’s in the publication. I honestly think that it’s one of the best magazines out there today.
It’s nice to be able to evangelize something that I really believe in. A lot of people make a living promoting products that they don’t personally get excited about, but, hey, it’s a way to pay the bills. I like my job enough that I evangelize our product on my own time. :)
