Rep. Keith Ellison will be sworn in using the Koran of famed terrorist and enemy of apple pie Thomas Jefferson. Rep. Goode declined to comment to the Post, but I heard him slapping his forehead from here.

    He better inspect that Koran, though. I bet nutty ol’ Jefferson snipped out all of Muhammad’s miracles.

  3. In politics, as with any other hardnosed competition, there’s always a counterpunch available to the savvy player which uses his opponent’s momentum against him to make the punch more effective. Rep. Keith Ellison has clearly demonstrated that he’s going to be a political player to be reckoned with.

    Now it looks like Goode is a palooka who picked on the wrong Muslim.

  5. Are you kidding me? Do you know anything about Ellison? Are you aware of his ties to Nihad Awad, co-founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations and to Louis Farrakhan? Are you aware that it has been alleged that CAIR is a “spin-off of the Islamic Association of Palestine, a group identified by a U.S. intelligence official as a front for Hamas.” ?

    Sure Waldo, go right ahead and beat the tambourine for this guy. Sounds like a real winner to me.

  6. Keith Ellison, is a real winner. An amazing man who is going to be a great congressman. Whose tenure as a state representative has been filled with fighting for progressive causes, and leading the ethics complaint prosecution against a Holocaust denier.

    Keith Ellison as our congressman has inherited the mantle of Hubert Humphrey, and he’s gonna make us proud.

    And, FYI Elle– just so you know, Grover Norquist, he of the crazy-ass right wing tax avoiders, also has a relationship with CAIR– http://www.citizensoldier.org/norquist.html .
