Not a good look for Rep. Goode.

Check out the image of Rep. Virgil Goode that CNN is using:

Rep. Virgil Goode

Ouch. That’s really not a good look for his day in the the court of public opinion. I’m not sure if that’s better or worse than the black trenchcoat, black fedora look that’s so in these days.

(Thanks to David Sewell for that one.)

  1. What a jerk is all I can say. The sad part about it all is that come 2008 I doubt anyone South of Nelson County or North of Albemarle (Greene) for that matter will really care in the 5th District. If he feels this way about Muslims I can only imagine what he is saying about other minorities when he doesn’t think the public will find out.

  2. You would be shocked to know how many admire this
man for stating publicly what we feel personally.
If you don’t like what he says move to Iran.

  3. webrunner are you serious? Here’s a little something for you to ponder. Ellison is neither Persian nor Arab. Here is another fact to ease your ignorance. The country with the largest Muslim population is Indonesia. In case you don’t know that’s NOT in the Middle East.

Let me finish by saying this: I am not shocked at all how many people admire him for saying this. These are likely the same people who like to sit around and preach to the world how racism and bigotry doesn’t exist anymore all while being living proof that their argument is wrong.
