Allen blowback worsens.

More conservative heavyweights are going after Allen for his attack on Webb for relating his experiences in Vietnam: Say Anything, Hot Air, and now Michelle Malkin in a Fox News interview are all piling on Allen’s woes. Republicans backing Allen on this are part of an embattled, ever-dwindling minority. The National Journal today reported that Democratic and Republican political insiders alike agree that Allen has ran the worst Senate campaign in the nation, citing his “self-inflicted wounds,” “stupidity,” and “reckless[ness],” and describing his campaign as “a Halloween nightmare.”

  1. Allen’s screwed himself for 2008 if he is able to win re-election, and he knows it. He’s run through much of his warchest, and gone down and dirty. People in both parties think his campaign techniques suck. He has controversy all over him. And now, even members of his own party are backing away. I still bet that Allen wins this one, but his chances of career advancement are gone.

  2. THIS BLOWBACK IS ILLUSTIONARY. ITS TALKING HEADS THAT MOST PEOPLE NEVER READ. LOOK AT HOW THIS IS GETTING REPORTED. ALL FROM ALLEN’S FRAME.

WEBB REALLY NEEDS TO ALTER HOW HE IS TALKING ABOUT THIS OR THIS THING IS LOST. STOP TALKING ABOUT ROVE IT WASTES PRESOUSE TIME AND PRINT SPACE:

This all good and Webb and Allen’s critics are completly right, but being right does not guarnty winning.

Have you googled this, have you witnessed how this is being reported. I just listaned to NPR and it was awful!!! It is completly being report within Allen’s frame.

We are lossing this battle so far, and confirming one another’s opinones on this blog and others does not win this battle.

Webb responded to this in the completely wrong manor.

He should have never said this is just fiction, because the response to that is, “ok well what kind of sicko makes this sort of stuff up”

He should have said that yes this is fiction, but it is based on things that actually happened to me in a traumatic and life altering war. Now I know that this might shock Allen BECAUSE HE HAS NEVER EXPERANCED WAR HE NEVER GAVE UP HIS PAMPERED LIFE STYLE IN CALIFONIA to go fight in the Jungles of Asia. But I did I have had to deal with it my whole life. John McCain has indorsed my novels; George Will has indorsed my novels, ect, ect.

PUSH THIS CRAP BACK ON ALLEN!!!

The response has had elements of this and some of it gets reported, but never in this concise a manor, it is always diluted. You want punchy things that get the headlines; instead Allen’s bits get the headlines.

  3. WHOOPS I POSTED WITH OUT SPELL CHECK. NOW YOU ALL KNOW EXACTLY HOW BAD OF A SPELLER I AM!

HOPE YOU STILL GET MY POINTS

  4. Allen makes us the laughing stock to the rest of the world, again… From the Washington Post: “Margaret R. Soltan, an English professor at George Washington University, said voters should not regard Webb’s novels as indicative of his views, any more than voters in England should have been deterred by some of Winston Churchill’s more shocking writing.

“To think along those lines exposes you as a person who has no culture,” she said.”

  5. Hang that anvil, hang the anvil. George Allen is one of GWB’s favorites. Hang it around Allen’s neck like a diving weight.

Same goes for every congressional candidate as well.
