Republican Congressional candidate Tramm Hudson said something stupid, and then issued a statement apologizing, acknowledging that he “said something stupid.” You’ve got to give the man credit for being frank — and there was no bullshit Allen-style “if anybody was offended” clause. No, apologizing doesn’t change the fact that he’s such an oblivious racist. I don’t want that kind of trash representing me.
