Are the turns of phrases bizarre, or are the journalists? I can think of way more bizarre ‘journalists’ than I can their statements. I don’t think we can count people like Bill-O and Geraldo as journalists, although they routinely make bizarre statements.
And I can’t remember much about high school phrases because I am old I tell ya, OLD!

The phrases. :)
For example: “he said, speaking through an interpreter.” No. He was just speaking. You were listening through an interpreter.
