I never bought the study on prayer. God doesn’t like being tested, and it’s faith that makes prayer what it is, not words from a script. This lightning thing, on the other hand — this is evidence.
Well, her family returned safely. She wasn’t, after all, praying for her own safety. So you can’t properly say her prayer wasn’t answered.

She should have prayed faster…to me prayer is way to get out of doing things and stops progress from actually being made. When people pray they feel as if they’ve done everything they can, when what they pray about doesn’t happen they can claim God’s will. Now they are absolved and have placed blame/credit on someone else.

Faith is knowing to be true that which you cannot see. Circular reasoning (or reasoning of any kind, for that matter) has nothing to do with it.
