Turns out the reason that the mail server is down pertains to a faulty internet connection. Ntelos intends to repair it on Monday.
I must admit that it’s nice not to come home to an avalanche of e-mail.
05/22 Update: The avalanche is on; e-mails works again.
Well… as soon as it’s fixed, all the e-mails that are tying to be sent will get sent via those servers that automatically try to resend them for up to two days. So I think we can both look forward to mega super avalanches come monday.
… ok, you’ll get a mega super avalanche. I’ll just have a Y2K shelf worth of spam and several letters. ;)

yep, my mail seems to be working fine now
thankfully my personal avalanche isn’t that substantial

On a related topic, SOMETHIN’ got thru that spam filter. Like, 30 times in ten minutes tonight. Jeesuz.
