AP: Sen. Harry Reid is upset about Pentagon plans to blow up 700 tons of explosives in the Nevada desert. Note that Reid fails to rebut the total awesomeness of blowing up 700 tons of explosives. If Reid’s not going, I call dibs on his tickets.
Maybe if we shaped them into fireworks.

That’s crazy. At a time when all of our other elected officals are either shooting people in the face or just beating the shit out of the Capitol Police, Harry Reid is failing America. :)

Blowing up 700 tons of old munitions (for disposal) would be okay.
Blowing up 700 tons of fireworks just for fun would be okay.
But blowing up 700 tons of explosives for new weapons experiments, in an area contaminated with fallout, is a bad idea.
