This is chicken feed. If Bush really wants to balance the budget, he’ll start charging our soldiers for the Humvees they are being blown up in. It’d be a nice way for the guvment to get back some of those nice and fat permanent disability checks it’s paying to crippled veterans.

My attitude: if you’re driving the Bradley Fighting Vehicle when it’s smashed by an IED, then you owe the government $3 million. Better yet, we should start charging pilots for the planes they wreck.

See, with a little creativity, you can turn war into a profit center.
