Kaine: The blog governor?

The Kaine campaign stayed in contact with bloggers, treated bloggers like media, and used their blog to stay in touch with voters. Kaine proved time and time again that he gets it.

Might this carry over to the Kaine governorship? Could Tim Kaine be the first blogger-friendly governor? Might he appoint a Secretary of Technology or a Deputy Secretary of Technology who blogs?

If the Kaine campaign’s use of blogs is any indicator, bloggers of all political stripes should welcome the prospect of this particular aspect of a Kaine governorship.

Corzine in New Jersey was also blogger friendly in his campaign – and also won (Governor). Perhaps this is the start of a more authentic democracy. I knew technology was good for something… ;)

Would love for Kaine to have a periodic blog session where he reaches out directly to citizens, by passing the filter of the traditional media.
