Tim Kaine’s property tax proposal sucks.
Jerry Kilgore’s tax proposal sucks even more.
Democrat Rich Collins’ proposal (a proposal shamelessly stolen by Virginia Republicans yesterday) rocks. I get a kick out of Republicans championing the elimination of the growth tax. Developers and real estate agents — darlings of the Republican Party — are going to revolt over the proposal, no doubt withholding bajillions in contributions. Republicans are now on Democrats’ side, pushing for letting localities limit sprawl and growth. I love it.
I don’t agree with everything above, but I do agree that the Rich Collins proposal is a very good one. It’s a very fair solution to the problem.
Shamelessly stolen? Hardly.
The proposal comes from the VOTORs
…which has been pushing it
far longer than Mr. Collins has been
an office seeker.
We’re glad he’s decided to join us.
Well, yeah, but Libertarians say stuff all the time, and nobody ever listens to them. ;)
I know, I know.
But gee, at least the dog pays attention to me.
When it’s his dinner time.
