This morning, we got the first snow of the season in Charlottesville. A quarter inch of light, light powder that drifted about on the asphalt snakily and mesmerizingly. In Blacksburg — from which I moved a month ago yesterday — we’d had three days of snow come December 14, but the New River Valley is a whole ‘nother world, weather-wise.

  1. Over here in Cumberland, almost an inch. Very fluffy, low water content. It will go well with the freshly tilled gardens.

  2. We in Covesville actually got our first snow of the season on Sunday night – close to an inch back here in the holler’. :-)
