Miller wins VA House seat.

Though some recounting seems likely (and advised), it appears that Democrat Paula Miller has defeated Democrat Michael Ball in the 87th district special election, down in Norfolk. The gap? Just 92 votes out of 7,623 cast. That’s for the seat vacated by Republican Thelma Drake, after she replaced Republican Congressman Ed Schrock (VA-02) after he was outed. So that’s a Republican replaced by a Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives and a Republican replaced by a Democrat in the Virginia House of Delegates. Chalk one up for the good guys. It’s a sign of the November to come.
