Shiny new teeth.

I got my braces off today, nearly one year after I got them. I thought that it would feel really weird, but it actually doesn’t. There is one thing that’s weird though. I never noticed until today, but I’d developed a habit of playing with my bottom braces when I was thinking. I’d curl my lower lip down (think Lucy Ricardo when she’s been caught doing something she’s not supposed to be doing) and catch it on the brackets. As I sit here working, every time that I pull my lip down, I lose my bearings, although each time I’m confused and surprised anew when I discover why.

Tomorrow, I think I’m going to have an apple, some whole carrots and a Charleston Chew for lunch.
